Family Medical & Spine Clinic is located in the heart of Douglasville. We specialize in treating patients with chronic neck, back, and knee pain. Our team of experienced medical professionals is dedicated to providing personalized care and effective treatment options to help our patients live their best lives. We believe in taking a comprehensive approach to healthcare, addressing not just the immediate symptoms but also the underlying causes of our patients' pain. Stanford Williamson, DO, attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and graduated in 2004. His post-graduate training in medicine includes a traditional internship year at Westchester General Hospital in Miami, Florida, 3 years as a medical resident in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, and 1 year fellowship training for Interventional Pain Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. During 2015, he was certified by the Drug Enforcement Administration as one of a select group of physicians eligible to prescribe buprenorphine medications, including Suboxone®, for opiod dependence. Dr. Williamson is a board certified physician and he is also a licensed physical therapist in the state of Florida, completing his graduate school training in physical therapy during 1998 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, in Birmingham, Alabama, prior to attending medical school in 2000. Dr. Williamson also holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Biology, and the other in Food and Nutrition Science, from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. With an emphasis on relief of pain, non-surgical orthopedic medicine, therapeutic exercise, and nutrition education.
